RCS Logistics Welcomes Kelly Sturges

RCS Logistics is pleased to announce the hiring of Kelly Sturges as General Sales Manager–South Atlantic on May 19, 2008.  Kelly received her Bachelor of Science from the University of South Carolina. She has over 15 years of transportation and logistics experience working for Maersk Line, Maersk Logistics and P&O Nedlloyd. She joined Maersk Inc. 1993, working on both the liner and logistics sides of the business, representing Maersk’s Ocean, Air, Customs Brokerage ,Warehousing and Consolidation services for her clients in the apparel, footwear and retail industries in the Southern Region of the USA.

We are pleased to announce Alison Merkl has joined RCS as a Senior Account Executive in the New York / New Jersey Metropolitan area.

After graduating with a BA from Rochester Institute of Technology, Alison started her career at Sotheby's Art Auction House and then Petersburg Press Inc (NY), arranging the transport of fine artwork and antiques.

She joined Maersk Logistics in 1991, then moved on to the Sales department at Maersk Inc., representing Maersk's Ocean, Air, Custom House Brokerage and Consolidation companies to her customer base in the NY/NJ Apparel market.

With her primary focus on developing new business while maintaining existing accounts, Alison set the benchmark on opening new markets and sourcing opportunities for the NY area garment and fashion import community. 

RCS Indonesia

We are pleased to announce RCS Logistics Indonesia has been opened on 18 July, 2007.

PT RCS Logistics Indonesia, a license Air & Sea freight forwarder's in Jakarta / Indonesia was established in year 2006 which Headquarter base in Hong Kong.

PT RCS Indonesia with own office approx 640m2 north of Jakarta central of International Air and Sea port, which has years experience and qualify IATA staffs base in Air, Ocean, Accounts and Sales department to service Local and International clients.

PT RCS Logistics Indonesia services as follows:

Air Freight :

A) Customs Clearance, local transportation, Preparation of documentations for both Inbound and Outbound.

B) Awarded top five forwarder's by KE / Korean Airlines for outstanding contribution.

C) Direct allotment from CI / China Airlines and KE / Korean Airlines.

Ocean Freight :

A) Customs Clearance, local transportation, Preparation of documentations in LCL and FCL for both Inbound and Outbound.

Welcome Evan

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Evan Rosen to the position of Vice President, Sales.

A 12 year shipping and logistics veteran, Evan brings a breadth of knowledge to RCS Logistics. He has extensive experience in international logistics, ocean transportation, airfreight, warehousing and IT.

Prior to Joining RCS he spent 9 years with Maersk and Maersk Logistics in a variety of leadership positions, both here and in Hong Kong. Most recently, Evan was Director of Key Client Sales and stationed in Hong Kong for 5 years.

In his new role Evan will be based in Charlotte NC. He will be accountable for targeting multinational accounts worldwide for airfreight and further develop our NVOCC product.

During the next few weeks Evan will be settling into his new role and learn more about the company.
